Age of Chivalry is a mod for the Source engine that takes you way back in time. The mod is based in a fictional medieval kingdom, where you can either join the Agathia Knights, or the Mason order. The objectives from this point on are either a defensive or an offensive position in the map. The objectives go from taking strategical points to killing villagers in a map or even complete a siege of a castle. There are three main classes that are divided into another 3 subclasses. You can either be a Longbowman, Crossbowman, Javelineer, Man-at-arms, Sergeant, Guardsman, Crusader, Knight and Heavy Knight. With each of these classes you can select a wide range of weapons. The ranged weapons do need some skill to get used to the arrows movement. The melee combat is a main point in here, you have several movements to attack or defend and attack. The damage you do depends on your weapon and the armor of your opponent. It is really an innovative theme for an engine that is mainly used for FPS. If you have a Source game, then you can get this mod, its worth a try. |
